Creative direction for concept and theme; development of visual treatment, art direction to motion graphic artist
Effective community response to mass violence and domestic terrorism events is a comprehensive effort. It spans preparation, mitigation and managing lasting effects on victims, their families and their communities. With budget constraints we leveraged quality stock stills and kept things moving by reinforcing key messaging "bleeding" in on screen with watercolor effects and transitions.
The treatment: Blues and purples blend together like watercolors to represent the lasting impact of trauma bleeding into many areas of a person’s life and the wider community long after the incident. The organic spread of pigment as it fans out and concentrates across dips and valleys on a textured surface acknowledges the complex and varied human experience requiring trauma support.
