Concept development, shaping visual treatment, directing motion graphics.
Effective community response to mass violence and domestic terrorism is a comprehensive effort. It spans preparation, mitigation and managing lasting effects on victims, their families and their communities. With budget constraints we leveraged quality stock stills and kept things moving by reinforcing key messaging "bleeding" in on screen with watercolor effects and transitions.
The treatment: A range of blue and purple watercolor paints blend together to represent the lasting impact of trauma on many areas of a person’s life, and the wider community, long after the incident.
