The Challenge

Caltrans wanted to recruit across six environmental career disciplines while showing that public-sector work could offer variety, mobility, strong benefits, work-life balance, and meaningful public service. The videos needed to make very different roles feel part of one Caltrans employment story.

My Role

Art Director / Creative Lead: Guided the visual direction across the six-video series, partnering with the production team on graphic treatments, editing, transitions, and b-roll to keep each story distinct while maintaining a consistent Caltrans presence.

Created a consistent graphic framework across six career stories while allowing each discipline and employee perspective to feel distinct.

Used environmental and workplace footage to show the range of settings, responsibilities, and public impact behind the roles.

Balanced recruitment messaging with authentic employee perspectives so the benefits of working at Caltrans came through as lived experience, not just a checklist.

Kept branding, pacing, and transitions cohesive across the series so individual videos worked together as one recruitment campaign.
